We need legalized gambling in Ohio. Gambling has always been around in this state, now let's let casinos in and tax them before this state goes bankrupt under Governor Taft. I would rather spend my money in Ohio than W. Virginia like a do now. Has anyone noticed the changes in W. Virgina's economy since gambling became legal there or is everyone blind?

I read alot of people's comments saying we should not legalize gambling in Ohio; but not one of them says why we shouldn't? It has many benefits including creating some much needed jobs in a sluggish economy as well as bringing tourists to Ohio for something other than visting the HOF and than leaving! What's the difference between having racetracks you can bet at and having slot machines there also? Both are gambling are they not? You can walk in any Instant Bingo location and play "slot" like machines. Basically....we already have gambling in Ohio, now it's just going to be legal.

I think that Ohio should legalize gambling and follow rules that such states as Las Vegas and others follow.
I think that it will bring in more revenue for the state, and finally some jobs for those who need them so badly.
I realize that someone will always abuse this but for all the people who travel all over the USA and Canada to gamble it would surely bring in lots of revenue and maybe even lower crime rates since gamling would not be illegal.
Govener Taft is a Power Player in my opinion and should be out of office and hopefully next time elections come up he will be voted out.
He cuts so many programs for people who really need it, such as medical and day care for single parents, and assistance for homeless and so much more. I can only see gambling as a perk for the many who need this assistance instead of making our state poorer then it already is.

All of the Ohioans who think that gambling will help Ohio are not fully aware of the mega concequences that may, can, and will occur. It my sound like a nice idea at first, but after reviewing the facts...it's a big no, no. First of all, Ohioans need to realize that other moneymaking attemps such as the Mega Millions Lottery have been somewhat of a failure to help the economy. Of the expecte 41 million dollars only 8.8 million has been made. At this point in time the government also hasn't been giving the profits directly to school systems either. Casion's technically hurt Ohioans because it takes their little hard earned money and gives them zilch. Native American Reservations can also open casinos to compete with government ones. Obviously casinos are a bad idea

I think that if Taft dont straighten finaces we will have no choice, but to legalize gambling in ohio. I dont care if there is gambling or not. I think that if they do legalize gambling they should put a cap on how many boats or casinos are in ohio. Think of how much money we could make with ONE casiono boat. and the jobs it will provide to our sluggish eocnomy with jobs
