Steelers win! Steelers win!
by Kevin
I can’t believe it, I am numb. The Steelers just never gave up and the defense made a few key plays down the stretch to give the offense the ball. What a game and what a comeback. 22 points in the fourth quarter! Three games decided by three points each and three Steeler wins. Wow. Cardiac Kids? Not Cleveland but Pittsburgh. Tommy Maddox comeback player of the year in more ways than one!
The good thing is that the Steelers now head to Tennessee where they will not face a team with dangerous passing attack. The Titans have been winning mostly with tough defense and the creativity of Steve McNair who is nursing a number of injuries. The Steelers will have to cut out the turnovers and concentrate on not allowing the big play. If they can do that this offense can score the points they need.
Scary just how fast you can go from depression to elation . . .
This was the greatest win in my recollection. I am still numb. I experienced every emotion possible. Ubelievable. I knew I had to come here to see what you were going to say.
Here We GO, Stillera, Here We GO!
You just can’t say enough about IU grad Antwaan Randle El. He’s a clutch player.
I sense a slight “pooh-pooh”ing of the opposition. The Nashville Cats are tougher than you give them credit. The passing game will be tough for the Steelers to defense since McNair is much more mobile (and experienced) than that scrub the Browns sent out. Replay in your mind that third and long pass towards the end of the game Sunday, the one that went right through the hands of the Browns receiver, that would have given the Browns a first down and may have prevented the Steelers from getting the ball back with enough time to score again.
I’d like to offer more hope for beleaguered Steeler fans, but a rested, recovered and ready Tennessee Titans squad will be too much for the Steelers to overcome.
