So what do you think all that noise about Annika Sorenstam really amounted to? Was it good for golf? For Annika? for the LPGA?
Hard to say but it was good for Kenny Perry; he shot a tourney-record 19-under in winning.. Justin Leonard ended Sunday on a sour note, a bogey, but he still managed to shoot a 61!
So does this mean Annika has no business near a PGA event? I don’t think so. I mean it is not like Kenny Perry is the next Tiger Woods. Kenny had a great day on Saturday and played solid on Sunday to win. Justin Leonard has always had the potential to be great but only seems to get streaky in his home state of Texas. Annika has played extremely well at times too but you really couldn’t expect her to shoot real low with the weight of the world on her. I think she got what she wanted which was the experience of playing with the big boys. She tested herself against the top competition and didn’t embarrass herself. There is something to be said for that. Of course the Colonial got what it wanted to: the sports worlds attention for a few days. And they even did it without Tiger Woods, not a bad deal. No harm no foul I say . . .
Didn’t embarass herself? She made a complete fool of herself! She shot off her big mouth for 5 months about how she was going to show us “MEN” how a woman could take on male golfers; yeah, she sure did, didn’t she? Got her femnazi ass tossed out in the second round! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Next time, Annika, don’t let your big mouth write a check that your fists can’t cash! Now as soon as that other dame make an asss out of herself, Golf can get back to normal untill the next femnazi circus freak come along.
