Well, it seems summer is finally here. After rain and cool grey days we are having warm sunny ones. I actually got a little red yesterday playing soccer. But it was worth it as we won the championship. It was a tough match ending in a tie. In a weird twist everyone missed their penalty kicks and so we went to sudden death PKs. We made our kick and it came down to goalie versus goalie – there’s kicking our’s defending. Our goalie made a nice move and blocked the kick – we win! It was particularly satisfying because we had finished second a number of times. For our effort we got a coffee mug; but it is the game that counts not the prize.

I finally finished reading Harry Potter so today we are going to invite some friends over for a cookout. Maybe later I can post some book reviews I have been meaning to get to but for now I am just going to enjoy the sunshine.
