Tourism Spam

The City of New York is sending me spam. Specifically a link to this page: New York City – Top 10 Reasons.
Question: Is this really the way to get tourists to visit? By sending them annoying spam? I can’t imagine this really helps their reputation and encourages visits. Hey honey look at this interesting spam we just got, we should visit New York City!
Could be worse; they could sue North Carolina for allowing Askew to buy a gun while he was a resident there. That would make me wish I’d scheduled a trip there which I could dramaticly cancel.
