I saw The Passion of Christ today. I am not really sure how I feel about it right now. I think I need to reflect on it longer. I will say that I wasn’t really revolted by the violence but I did find it over the top and largely distracting. Over all I found the movie less than profound despite the subject matter but it was thought provoking. I will have more to say tomorrow on the violence, the message, charges of anti-Semitism, and other issues.

I fail to see how something must be profound in order to be thought provoking. Something can make you think without being deep or profound but simply interesting. I’ll explain more in my review.
