  1. When I saw these in the bookstore, I was put off by their physical resemblance to the Lemony Snicket books. While I loved the first few Snicket books, it seems like all youth books have to physcially resemble one of either the Baudelaire, Potter or Fowl books.

    I know you can’t judge a book by the cover, so it sounds like these are not just cheap rip-offs of the Baudelaire motif.
