Sorry about the radio silence yesterday. It happened to be my birthday. It was not, however, one of the better ones. I managed to pick up a rather nasty head cold and have been suffering all week. I have some stressful issues at work. And just to add a little salt to the wound, my daughter cried when I left for work! Normally, her mother is the only one she clings to, but yesterday she wanted to be with her dad. Of course I was happy to oblige and carried her around and generally soaked up the love for as many minutes as I could. But eventually I had to go to work – miserable as I was – and so had to put her down and say goodbye. She started crying and reaching out for me. It wasn’t easy getting in the car I can tell you.
I appreciate all the comments on the previous post. I love it when readers weigh in on the blog and especially when they offer encouragement. Every once in awhile I get a little self-absorbed about this thing and feel the need to mediate on what it is I am doing. My hope is that I can gain some focus and that this will mean better stuff for you and more fun for me.
I am not sure how much posting I will do over the long holiday weekend. We don’t have any big plans, so maybe I will do some posting. But I wouldn’t hold your breath or anything. I do have a couple of books to review, so look for that in the coming days.
In case I don’t “talk” to you between now and then, have a great holiday and keep safe!
