Here’s what we realized: the weakness of writing on the internet – in blogs and elsewhere – is the inherent lack of permanence. Sure, you can find good writing if you look for it. But the truth is, the overwhelming number of people who should be reading this excellent writing don’t even know that it exists.

But what if there were a quarterly publication that collected some of the very worthy writing from bloggers and internet writers?

For a blogger, The Critical is an excellent way to highlight the best writing online – and if gives you something to hand to people, which is a lot more impressive than directing people to a website archive.
