After much consternation, and mucking about, I have finally settled the look and content of my various domains around the web. I thought it would be handy to outline things here for clarity of use.
Kevin Holtsberry Dot Com has two components:
- The home page includes a landing page with feeds from all of my sites as well as a “News” blog which will provide updates about the various domains and my professional life.
- KH: The Blog will be a personal blog. It has the tag line “Faith, Family, Football” because those are the subjects that are likely to be covered there (along with some golf but that threw off the alliteration.
My newst venture is Ohio Politics Online and that also has two components:
- The main page is a blog that covers Ohio politics with news, links, analysis and opinion.
- But it also has a “hub” page which is a collection of feeds from news sites, blogs, YouTube, and other sources. Again, all with the focus of Ohio politics. The goal is to provide one handy page to go to for the latest news and opinion from around the state.
Another new site is The Right Reads. This site seeks to do two things:
- Offer reviews, interviews, links and commentary on books of interest to conservatives or those on the center-right side of the political spectrum.
- Spark and engage debate about the future of the Right through the lens of books and ideas.
This is not to be confused with my long standing book/literary blog Collected Miscellany. CM will continue to offer news, views, reviews and interview from the world of books, but those works with a political bent – or a focus on conservatism – will be covered at The Right Reads.
I also wanted to note that I have joined up at the new Columbus Examiner. And you can find my writing there in two places:
- Columbus Book Examiner is the place for Central Ohio Book fans to keep abreast of the latest news and events; with reviews and interviews as well. Think of it as CM with a Columbus focus.
- Columbus Conservative Examiner is where I will offer my opinions on and analysis of Ohio politics. I am still figuring out the coverage there, but I imagine there will be a good amount of overlap between OPO and Conservative Examiner.
I hope this outline is helpful. It is my hope that my having these different sources – niches if you will – will allow everyone to access the content they want without having to skim through content they don’t.
As always feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

Cool. Do they still have that 64 room bookstore in German Village?
Yes, the Book Loft is still there. Visited last night as a matter of fact.
