I'm guilty of the same thing, I gravitate towards fancy black ink pens. I probably have hundreds of pens in my house, but when I see a finely created writing instrument I have to have it. Pens and notebooks. I thought this could be consequence of my job (I'm a writer), but it goes well beyond my craft, I think I may be borderline obsessed with pens.

Dear Keith,

I believe you were the gentleman I sat with on the plane once leaving out of Buffalo, New York. You were also with your brother, and you told me you worked at The New York Times. I don't always retain names, but for some reason, I remembered yours. How was I to know that years later my book would be accepted for publication, hence, you would maybe like to review it? Let's be fair, I've read one of your books. I sure hope I'm writing to the right person, but if not, good luck to you, but better luck to me with my book.

Sincerely,

Karen White-Walker

As I read the scriptures I don't believe there is any question, but that Jesus would have let Joshua in. Jesus went the second mile and challenged his followers to do the same. If asked to give someone their cloak, they were to give their shirt as well. The death of this young man gives evidence to the fear which daily grips our lives. It also gives evidence to the injustice in our society in which persons who struggle with mental and emotional illnesses are often left without even minimal care because they cannot afford it. Joshua's death is very sad. He didn't have to die. His death is also a sad commentary on our society. His death challenges us to ask the question, what would we have done or what will we do if confronted with an opportunity to help another in need? It also challenges us as a community to come together as individuals, churches, organizations and businesses to address the needs of others in our community so that desperate situations like Joshua's can be avoided. On January 31 at Mid-Ohio Foodbank from 10 to 11:30 a.m. persons in Columbus will have the opportunity to be proactive regarding needs in Columbus. I hope others will take that first step.,

I prayed this prayer every day years ago. It is a dangerous prayer! I had the most challenging year ever but I did grow stronger in my faith and walk with God. I have never forgotten it.

This article is great and true in every sense. I wish more people like us would value their emotional well-being more than just getting a quick unhealthy high... I believe that emotional connection and intimacy will lead to a true ecstacy and zest in life.
